About

Paul tells us to “pray at all times” and to “pray for all the saints” (Eph. 6:18). To encourage us to pray for our church body of believers, the Women’s Council of Town North Presbyterian Church is providing daily (Mon-Fri) prayer guides. Each entry includes a short description of our suggested prayer focus for the day, a passage of Scripture, and a verse of a hymn related to the day’s topic.

It is our hope that by being united in prayer for our church, we can serve our Lord and our church in helping to bring the healing, unity and growth that God plans for us. Please feel free to share this blog with others.

If you have found particular Bible passages that are helping you pray for Town North, please consider sharing them with me for possible future inclusion in these prayer guides.

I have really appreciated getting these. They have caused me to take a few extra moments of quiet time that I wouldn’t have otherwise.

I have tried to slow down, read them and reflect as I pray.

Thank you sisters for ministering to our church with your focus on prayer. Christine and I are greatly encouraged by these prayer guides.

Where would we be without faith and prayers? The efforts being made by and on behalf of the WIC ministry and our congregation has been more effective than any of us can ever imagine. Thanks for the continued prayers for His Church, our pastor, our associate pastor, all staff members, our session, our deacons and all of their incredible dedication to serving our Lord. Differences appear due to sinful nature of mankind, but we all need to know that God hears our prayers, forgives His people and knows of the dedication of our leaders to carry out His ministry in His Church. Let us keep unity through prayer for our leaders and our congregation.
    In His continued service,
    Jim
